Nikki Livermore is a dynamic, fun and very thorough JWAAD (Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance) trained dance teacher. She has been teaching Arabic dance since 1999. She lives in the Swindon area, teaching weekly classes in Carterton and Fairford, and workshops throughout the UK. Her specialty being “Modern Egyptian Cabaret”, “Dancing to live tabla”. and “Saaidi stick”.

Nikki started her training with Tina Hobin, and Elaine Denton then Maggie Caffrey and Josephine Wise, with whom she still takes every opportunity to have lessons with. Nikki visits Cairo 3 or 4 times annually, and takes the opportunity there to get as many lessons in by the top Egyptian teachers as she can. She also frequently attends workshops in the UK and watches lots of DVDs where she can see an opportunity to increase her learning.

Nikki does specialist “Dance to live Drumming “ workshops throughout the UK with renowned Arabic musician and percussionist John Sleiman. John will be accompanying Nikki in her workshops.

Nikki has taught and performed at many of the major festivals in the Uk including the London Fantasia, Majma, Glastonbury Festival, Cornbury Festival, & Raqs Britannia.

Nikki is the Events Co-Ordinator for Mosaic Arabic Dance network, and she organises the Annual “Oxford Bellydance Bonanza” held in April each year.

Nikki runs the mobile bazaar “Simplyshimmy", and will be delighted to attend any haflas to supply you with top quality Arabic dancewear.
